From 2015-2026 Ari Pescovitz was the Design Director of Ferra Designs, an ornamental metal and glass subcontractor working out of the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Specializing in highly complex metal constructions, such as stairs, feature walls, canopies, facade systems, as well as doors and windows, Ari led a team of 2-4 designers in detailing and producing drawing sets (for architectural review and fabrication) as well as cut files for manufacturing. Utilizing Solidworks and parametric modeling techniques, we generated working 3d models that allowed for streamlined and unified design documentation and cut file preparation. In 2025, one of our duplex stairs won TOP JOB at the NOMMA convention. Some of our clients have included Olson Kundig, RAMSA, Diller & Scofidio, STUDIOS Architecture, and Leroy St. Studios.
